Robert Zolnowski

Robert Zolnowski (b. 1981) is a versatile percussionist, drummer, and educator based near Buffalo, NY. He has excelled in diverse musical settings, from marching bands and drum corps to Broadway stages and prestigious concert halls.

As a sought-after performer, Robert has shared the stage with legendary artists such as Susan Anton, The Irish Tenors, Frankie Avalon, The Beach Boys, Aretha Franklin, and The Who. His Broadway credits include the Ain't Too Proud, Tina, and Mean Girls Broadway tours. In 2011, he was selected to perform as a member of the PASIC 50th Anniversary Professional Marimba Orchestra. Additionally, he has been honored to perform with the Army Field Band Chorus.

Beyond his performing career, Robert is a dedicated educator and composer. He has served as a head percussion instructor and composer/arranger for numerous ensembles, and he maintains a thriving private studio. His compositions, published by Keyboard Percussion Press (KPP) and Tapspace, showcase his innovative approach to percussion.

Robert's musical journey has taken him to Ghana, West Africa, where he immersed himself in the rich traditions of African drumming. He has also toured extensively with DCI's Glassmen and DCA's Rochester Crusaders.

A graduate of Bowling Green State University and Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music, Robert is a proud Marimba One Educational Artist, Sabian Education Network member, and D'Addario Education Collective member. He is an active member of The American Federation of Musicians.
